The architectural design challenge has involved developing a design that ensures that this densification does not overwhelm those engaging with the buildings or passing through. For much of its length, the scale of this new street responds to the pending scale of development in the adjoining Grangegorman Quarter. Along the new street, the proposal is generally six storey over ground floor level in the northern building and four storeys over ground floor level with intermediate mezzanine floors in the southern building. At the upper levels; twin villages of student residences arranged around and opening off carefully considered gardens with supporting amenities adjacent.
