No.1 Grand Canal Reception

The original brief for the space had been cave like. The new building owners wanted to create a lighter more natural space. To achieve this the introduction of ceiling panels with white plaster boards as reflectors helped introduce light into the space. Materials such as light oak and stainless steel add a light and natural finish.

The space was reconfigured by removing a very large cylindrical lobby and replacing it with a more moderate transparent enclosure. Cast glass panel artworks where introduced into the facade by artist Killian Schurmann which in turn added a touch of colour to the space.
