This is a scheme of 78 apartments, 1,200 sqm. of office space and 99 car parking spaces at a protected structure at Distillery Road in Dublin 3 for Albion Properties Ltd. The project involved the conservation of an early concrete vaulted warehouse, a 19th Century grain store and the listed facade to Distillery Road complete with flanking towers.
The project was taken through the planning process by DMOD who made a number of changes to satisfy planners and local residents concerns after close consultation with both parties. The project was completed in 2005. As a result of this consultative process, in spite of the scale of the development and it’s location in a mature residential area, there were no third party appeals against Dublin City Council’s decision to grant planning permission.
